When done right, project-based learning (PBL) has proven to help students develop the soft skills they need to succeed for a variety of future careers. In the project “Making Our Community Accessible,” middle school students learn about right triangles and the Pythagorean theorem while designing an ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp for their community.
